The idea of translating sensations into 3D forms interested me deeply. The depths and surfaces that can create shadows are a beautiful way to create contrast that reveals itself depending on the angle. I made this series of sculptures back at university time, looking for ways to translate the idea and sensation of transcending.

There is something about the play of shadows and light. I always enjoyed darker photos with texture and deep shadows, and that hasn't changed. This are some photos from many year ago and some recent ones that brings this sensations alive once more.

It’s been a while since I last oil painted, but colors always keep calling here and there. These paintings were done during college for my painting classes. I learned a lot back then, especially the power of consistency and the intensity of the paints. I feel like diving back into that world again.
